Bay Parkway (formerly Bay Parkway – 22nd Avenue) is an express station on the BMT West End Line of the New York City Subway, located in Brooklyn at the intersection of Bay Parkway and 86th Street, in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. The station is served by the D train at all times.
This station was the terminus for the M train from 1987 to 2010 during rush hours. Although both island platforms had signs indicating M trains used the center express track, that track was not usually used at all, and M trains operated from local track. There are no switches at the north end of the station to allow trains to switch to the express track. South of the platforms, two diamond crossovers were used for M trains to enter the center track and reverse course back to Manhattan. The center track is not in revenue service.
The mezzanine is metal with concrete floors. The station has two stairs to each platform and its windows are usable and are facing to the west. However, on the area over Bay Parkway to any of the 4 street stairs, there is black tar covering what were once windows.
There is a railroad tower at either end of the station. On July 6, 2005, the station was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
